Dallas Wings and Panther City Lacrosse Club Announce Senior Level Executive Hires

Arlington, Texas (June 27, 2022) – The Dallas Wings and Panther City Lacrosse Club announced the hirings of Chief Operating Officer, Amber Cox, and Chief Revenue Officer, Sean Ferretti, today. Cox, a 20-plus year sports industry veteran joins the Dallas Wings and Panther City Lacrosse Club after serving as the COO with the Kansas City Current of the National Women’s Soccer League. Ferretti joins the organizations after having served as the Director of Corporate Partnerships with the Texas Rangers following a ten-year stint in the NFL with the Arizona Cardinals.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Amber to the Dallas Wings and Panther City Lacrosse Club,” Wings and Panther City President & CEO Greg Bibb stated. “I have had the pleasure of knowing Amber for over 15 years and I have long admired her work as a senior executive in both the WNBA and National Lacrosse League. We are extraordinarily fortunate to have the opportunity to add such a talented and experienced leader to our team and I’m excited to work with Amber in continuing to build our sports and entertainment enterprise.”

Cox led all aspects of business operations during the Kansas City Current’s first season in the NWSL, including ticket sales, partnerships, marketing, communications and community relations. She played a vital role in locking in local television partnerships, elevating the club’s presence via social and digital efforts, securing marketing partnerships and launching the team’s permanent brand.

Previously, Cox worked with the WNBA’s Connecticut Sun and the NLL’s New England Black Wolves (presently the Albany Fire Wolves), serving as the team’s Vice President of Sports from 2016 to 2021. During her tenure in Connecticut, the Sun and Black Wolves experienced substantial growth across all business metrics, including ticket and merchandise sales as well increased brand exposure via internal and external channels.  In 2017, she was named the NLL Executive of the Year. Prior to joining the Sun and Black Wolves, Cox served as the Chief Marketing Officer for the MLS’ Houston Dynamo and NWSL’s Houston Dash (2015-2016) and as the President & Chief Operating Officer of the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury (2010-2013), overseeing all business and basketball operations.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the Dallas Wings and Panther City Lacrosse Club,” Cox said.  “To work alongside Greg Bibb, who is a proven leader, team operator and innovator in our industry, is an incredible opportunity. The WNBA and NLL are experiencing explosive growth and I’m looking forward to joining the talented front office team, coaches and players from both teams to take our organization to new heights and provide a world class experience for our fans.”

Ferretti, who has spent over a decade in sports, joins the organization from the Texas Rangers, where he was one of the organization’s top revenue producers and oversaw all the team’s non-baseball partnership revenue generation as head of sponsorships for Rev Entertainment (Texas Rangers Events), the entity that books concerts, shows, and sporting events for Globe Life Field and Choctaw Stadium.

“Sean Ferretti brings a proven track record of revenue generation both on the ticket sales and partnership sides of the sports business,” Bibb stated. “We are fortunate to add a rising star to our leadership team and I look forward to the growth he drives for the Wings and Panther City.”

“I couldn’t be more excited to join Greg Bibb and his incredible staff with the Dallas Wings and Panther City Lacrosse Club,” Ferretti said. “As a native of Buffalo, I am extremely passionate about sports and have seen first-hand the impact that avid fan bases can have.  This opportunity is one I welcome and will embrace head-on. I look forward to working with our talented staff to capitalize on the rapidly growing momentum surrounding women’s sports and the rising popularity of lacrosse. I cannot wait to help expand both properties’ footprint in the North Texas area and play a part in the successes that these organizations will soon accomplish.”

The Wings and Panther City have also hired Jen Fusci as Vice President of Ticket Sales and Service and Amanda Zanghi as Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships. The duo brings over a decade of sports experience to North Texas, including multiple positions in the WNBA and the NLL.
