Panther City Lacrosse Club Acquires Tony Malcom from Albany FireWolves

FORT WORTH, TX – The Panther City Lacrosse Club has acquired transition player Tony Malcom and a third-round selection in the 2024 NLL Entry Draft from the Albany FireWolves in exchange for a first-round selection in the 2026 NLL Entry Draft and forward Jackson Reid, the team announced today.

“Tony has long been a player that I thought highly of and kept an eye on since the formation of Panther City,” Panther City Lacrosse Club General Manager Bob Hamley said. “He brings a dynamic skillset to our club and effects the game on both ends of the floor. He is a someone that we believe can instantly help us take the next step as a franchise in our pursuit of an NLL Championship and we are thrilled to add him to our roster.”

Malcom will be entering his seventh season in the NLL and in 87 career games has amassed 184 points (78 goals, 106 assists), 439 loose balls and 41 caused turnovers. In 2021-22 with Albany, Malcom recorded 17 points (6 goals, 11 assists), 121 loose balls and 19 caused turnovers. Malcom is the older brother of current Panther City forward Will Malcom.

Reid was recently acquired by Panther City on August 29 in their trade with Halifax that sent Randy Staats to the Thunderbirds among other draft selections.
