Panther City Lacrosse Club Names Director of Player Personnel

The Panther City Lacrosse Club named Jordan Cornfield the Director of Player Personnel, the team announced today.

“We are thrilled to have Jordan on board with Panther City,” said General Manager Bob Hamley. “Jordan has been building and managing Championship teams in Canada and will bring that winning mindset to Panther City. As our Director of Player Personnel Jordan will lead our scouting department as well he will work closely with myself and our coaches in building our team. Welcome to Panther City Jordan!”

Cornfield began his National Lacrosse League career with Edmonton in 2006. In 2007, Jordan was signed by Colorado where he completed two more years in the NLL before finishing off his NLL career in Edmonton in 2010. He was also drafted into the WLA as an offensive lefty for the Burnaby Lakers, completing four seasons with the team 2004 to 2006 and 2009.

A native of Edmonton, Alberta, Cornfield completed his ten plus years of minor lacrosse in Alberta prior to heading west to play Junior “A” with the Delta Islanders. From 2011 through to 2018, he played for the Miners Lacrosse Club. As captain of the team, Cornfield led the Miners to three consecutive national championships in 2016, 2017, and 2018. The Miners have recognized Cornfield as an integral part of building the team that captured those back-to-back-to-back national championships.

In more recent years, Cornfield has transitioned his primary focus and energy onto the managerial and business aspects of lacrosse, serving as the General Manager as well as sitting on the executive board of the Miners Lacrosse Club.
