Panther City Lacrosse Club Signs Brandon Goodwin & Cole Pickup

FORT WORTH, TX (August 2, 2023) – The Panther City Lacrosse Club has signed left-handed defenseman Brandon Goodwin and left-handed forward Cole Pickup, the team announced today.

Goodwin joins the Panther City Lacrosse Club from the Vancouver Warriors, where in 2022-23 he appeared in 16 games and recorded 17 points (4G/13A), 61 loose balls and 13 caused turnovers. Goodwin was picked ninth overall in the first round of the 2014 NLL Entry Draft. He is entering his eighth season in the NLL after spending his rookie year with the Buffalo Bandits, one year with the Calgary Roughnecks and five seasons with Vancouver. Goodwin has recorded 83 career points (25G/58A), 269 loose balls and 56 caused turnovers in 92 games played. He attended Adelphi University and is originally from New Westminster, BC.

Pickup spent the majority of the 2022-23 season with Panther City on their practice squad, while also appearing in one game with the team. Pickup is currently playing with the Victoria Shamrocks of the Western Lacrosse League, where he has recorded 43 points (23G/20A), which is the fourth-best mark on the club.
