Panther City Lacrosse Club Signs Ryan McLean & Justin Joseph

FORT WORTH, Texas (August 16, 2023) – The Panther City Lacrosse Club has signed right-handed defenseman Ryan McClean and left-handed face-off specialist Justin Joseph, the team announced today.

McLean appeared in seven games for Panther City during the 2022-2023 season, securing 19 loose balls and causing six turnovers . He was signed by Panther City as a free agent in 2022 and was originally drafted by the Saskatchewan Rush with the 37th overall selection in the 2018 NLL Entry Draft.

McLean played Jr. A lacrosse for the Calgary Mountaineers of the RMLL. As team captain, he led the club to the 2018 Minto Cup. He competed collegiately for the University of Western Ontario, where he was part of the team that won the 2019 Bagga­taway Cup as Canadian University Champions.

Joseph spent the 2023 season at Drexel University where he appeared in 14 games, securing 114 ground balls and winning 57.1% (204-357) of his face-offs. He previously spent two years with Long Island University and is originally from Exeter, Pennsylvania.
