Panther City Welcomes the Albany FireWolves to Fort Worth

The Panther City Lacrosse Club (8-6) ends their four-game homestand with a matchup against the Albany FireWolves (2-11), who will be making their first ever appearance at Dickies Arena. On the call from Fort Worth will be Ron Thulin (PxP), Dalton Jernigan (Analyst) and Maggie Hale (Floor Reporter) with the game being broadcast on KTXA 21 and streamed everywhere on ESPN+.

Panther City looks to bounce back after last weekend, as they try to secure their first ever playoff appearance in franchise history. A consistent bright spot for the team has been their play on the man-advantage. Last weekend against San Diego the team was 3-5 (60%) on the power play with Phil Caputo scoring two power-play goals and Jonathan Donville recording three power-play assists. The team is currently fifth in the NLL for their overall power play record (38-74 – 51%). Donville currently is tied for first in the NLL with 26 power-play points and holds sole possession of first in the league with 24 power-play assists. Will Malcom is tied for third in the NLL with 16 power-play assists, while Caputo is tied for second with 10 power-play goals.

Following halftime, Panther City has shown they are able to adjust and make corrections as the team has only allowed 63 second-half goals in 14 games, compared to 89 first-half goals allowed. Offensively as well, Panther City is +9 and +8 in goal differential in the third and fourth quarters, respectively.

For Albany they are led by former Panther City forward Connor Kelly, who leads the team with 22 goals. Kieran McArdle leads the team with 55 points. Seventh-year goalie Doug Jamieson leads the team on the defensive end and has 447 saves on the year.
