Mathieu Gautier

Gautier was drafted ninth overall by PCLC in the 2022 NLL Entry Draft. Gautier plays Jr. A for the Edmonton Miners, and led the team to the 2022 Minto Cup Finals, where they lost in the final game. It was the best finish ever by an Alberta based team in the Minto Cup. Gautier led the tournament in assists (23) and points (32). His 23 assists were the second most since 2003. Gautier was awarded the Jim Bishop Award at the Minto, awarded for leadership, sportsmanship, and outstanding play.

Gautier scored 110 points in 23 RMLL games in 2022 and led the circuit in playoff scoring as well. He still has one year of Junior A lacrosse remaining, and the Miners are set to host the 2023 Minto Cup this upcoming summer.
