Panther City Jason Knox Wins NLL Rookie of the Week

FORT WORTH, TX (April 9, 2024) – Panther City Lacrosse Club forward Jason Knox has been named the NLL Rookie of the Week, the league announced today. This is Knox’s second Rookie of the Week honor, as he was also tabbed with this honor following Week 7.

In Week 19, Panther City played twice, with Knox totaling 10 points (5G/5A) between the two games, highlighted by his eight-point performance in a win over Philadelphia where the rookie recorded four goals and four assists, including three power play goals.

Under the direction of General Manager Bob Hamley and Head Coach Tracey Kelusky, Panther City has had six different players win the NLL Rookie of the Week honors for a total of 13 times over the course of the club’s first three years. (Jonathan Donville: 5x, Patrick Dodds: 3x, Jason Knox: 2x, Dean Fairall, Mathieu Gautier & Ryan Sheridan). This marks the third consecutive season that Panther City has had multiple rookies awarded the NLL Rookie of the Week honor and third consecutive season a single Panther City rookie has won the award multiple times in a season.
