Panther City Lacrosse Club Acquires Forward Ty Thompson

FORT WORTH, Texas (November 27, 2023) – The Panther City Lacrosse Club has acquired left-handed forward Ty Thompson from the Colorado Mammoth, the team announced today. In exchange, Panther City will send a conditional third round selection in the 2024 NLL Entry Draft to Colorado. 

Thompson, a 6-6 lefty, enters his third season in the NLL. In 2022-23 with Colorado, he appeared in nine games for the Mammoth and totaled 20 points (11G/9A). Thompson was originally selected by the New York Riptide in the 2020 NLL Entry Draft in the second round (25^th overall) out of the University of Hartford. 

In 19 games over two seasons with Hartford, he had 54 points (22G/32A). He captured a Minto Cup in 2019 with the Orangeville Northmen following a Junior B career with the Nepean Knights, in which he had 288 points on 96 goals and 192 assists in 76 games.
