Jonathan Donville: Five-Time NLL Rookie of the Week

Fort Worth, TX (March 8, 2023) — Panther City Lacrosse Club forward Jonathan Donville has been named the NLL Rookie of the Week, the league announced today. This is Donville’s fifth time being honored as the NLL Rookie of the Week this season.

Against the Saskatchewan Rush in Week 14, Donville led the team with five assists and also recorded two goals for a seven-point evening, of which included one power play goal and one power play assist.

For the year, Donville has recorded 67 points (18G/49A), which ranks him first amongst rookies in points and assists and second in goals. Donville leads the NLL in power play points (23), power play assists (21) and is currently tied for second in the NLL with his 49 assists. His 67 points are sixth best in the NLL and he is the only rookie amongst the top-ten in points, assists, power play points and power play assists.

This is the 10th time a Panther City rookie has been named NLL Rookie of the Week under the direction of GM Bob Hamley and Head Coach Tracey Kelusky and through 14 weeks of the 2022-23 NLL season, Panther City’s 2022 rookie class has been awarded with Rookie of the Week honors six times.
