Jonathan Donville Named NLL Rookie of the Week For Franchise Record Fourth Time

Fort Worth, TX (February 15, 2023) — Panther City Lacrosse Club forward Jonathan Donville has been named the NLL Rookie of the Week, the league announced today. This is Donville’s fourth time being honored as the NLL Rookie of the Week, which is a new franchise record, as Patrick Dodds won the award three times in the organization’s inaugural season.

Against Vancouver in Week 11, Donville led the team with eight points (2G/6A) in a 14-13 victory over the Warriors. His six assists were a team high and it was the fourth time in nine games this season that Donville has recorded at least six assists, including in three-straight games dating back to 1/28/23.

For the year, Donville has recorded 50 points (12G/38A), which ranks him first amongst rookies in points, assists and is second in goals scored. Donville’s 38 assists are second most in the NLL and he is currently seventh in the NLL in points scored. Donville is the only rookie amongst the top-10 in points and assists in the league.

This is the ninth time a Panther City rookie has been named NLL Rookie of the Week under the direction of GM Bob Hamley and Head Coach Tracey Kelusky and through 11 weeks of the 2022-23 NLL season, Panther City’s 2022 rookie class has been awarded with Rookie of the Week honors five times.
