Jonathan Donville Named NLL Rookie of the Week

Fort Worth, TX (January 11, 2023) — Panther City Lacrosse Club forward Jonathan Donville has been named the NLL Rookie of the Week, the league announced today.

Against Rochester in Week 6, Donville recorded six points, including his first career hat trick and also added three assists. This is Donville’s second time winning NLL Rookie of the Week, as he also took home the honors following Week 3 vs. Colorado where he recorded a game-high six assists.

For the year, Donville has recorded 20 points (4G/16A), of which ranks him first amongst rookies in points, goals and assists. Donville’s 16 assists is also tied for fifth most in the NLL. He is the only rookie amongst the top-10 players in assists.

With Donville’s two Rookie of the Week honors and Mathieu Gautier winning the award last week, Panther City has now seen their 2022 rookie class win three consecutive weeks of the award. This is the seventh time a Panther City rookie has been named NLL Rookie of the Week under the direction of GM Bob Hamley and Head Coach Tracey Kelusky.
