Panther City Lacrosse Club Fall to Vancouver Warriors

The Panther City Lacrosse Club (1-6) fell to the Vancouver Warriors (3-2), 17 – 11, at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Saturday night.

Forwards Phil Caputo and Will Malcom both recorded hat tricks as Panther City reached double-digit goals for the fourth time this season. In addition to his first career hat trick, Malcom also added two assists to lead Panther City with five points on the night. With the absence of Jeremy Thompson, defenseman Matt Hossack stepped up to take on face-off duties and won 18 of 32 faceoffs (56%) in the first game that any player other than Thompson has had to compete for more than 10 faceoffs.

The Warriors were led by forward Keegan Bal, who tallied eight points on two goals and six assists. Vancouver forward Kyle Killen led all scorers with four goals.

Panther City next takes on the San Diego Seals (5-1) on Saturday, February 12. Faceoff is set for 7:30 p.m. CT at Dickies Arena.
