Panther City Lacrosse Club Signs 2021 Rookie Class

FORT WORTH, TX – The Panther City Lacrosse Club has signed recently drafted left-handed forward Nathan Grenon, left-handed defenseman Liam Phillips and left-handed forward Taite Cattoni to two-year contracts, the team announced today.

Grenon was the 11th pick by Panther City in the first round of the 2021 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft. While playing at MercyHurst University, he was named the 2021 USILA Midfielder of the Year. A native of Stittsville, Ontario, Grenon netted 43 points in 14 games during the ‘21 campaign. As a member of the Excelsiors in the Ontario Jr. A Lacrosse League, he has netted 130 points in 52 games.

Hailing from Victoria, British Columbia, Phillips forced seven turnovers in just six games for the University of Mount Olive Trojans last season and was a member of the U-19 Men’s Field Lacrosse Team of the Canadian Lacrosse Association. He was the 27thoverall pick in the 2021 NLL Entry Draft by Panther City.

Cattoni, previously a left-handed forward for John’s Hopkins and the Peterborough Lakers of the Ontario Jr. A Lacrosse League, netted 54 points his final year at John’s Hopkins and 109 points in 42 games with Peterborough. The Peterborough, Ontario, native was selected 33rd overall by Panther City in the 2021 NLL Entry Draft.
