Panther City Lacrosse Club Signs Five Players

FORT WORTH, TX – The Panther City Lacrosse Club signed the following five players to one-year contracts, the team announced today.

  • Left-handed defenseman Paxton Leroux
  • Left-handed defenseman Riley Morgan
  • Right-handed forward Kevin Rogers
  • Left-handed defenseman DJ Saari
  • Right-handed forward Alec Simons

Leroux hails from Peterborough, Ontario and played three years for the Lakers of the Ontario Jr. A Lacrosse League. He was drafted 40th overall in the 2014 NLL Entry Draft.

Morgan is a defenseman from Peterborough, Ontario and played for his hometown Peterborough Lakers from 2015 to 2018.

Rogers is from Leesburg, Virginia and played three years at the University of Lynchburg before transferring to High Point University, where he netted 49 points in 14 games. He then signed on with the Chrome of the Premier Lacrosse League at the beginning of the 2021 season.

Saari competed for Finland, and played under Panther City Head Coach Tracey Kelusky, at the World Indoor Lacrosse Championships in 2019. A native of Powell River, British Columbia, he has played for the Maple Ridge Burrards of the Western Lacrosse Association since 2017.

Simons hails from Etobicoke, Ontario and has competed in the Ontario Jr. A Lacrosse League with the Mississauga Tomahawks and the Mimico Mountaineers, recording 176 points in his 92 career games.
