Squad To Face Western Division Leading San Diego Seals

The Panther City Lacrosse Club (4-3) will wrap up a five-week away game slate, as they head to San Diego to battle with the Western Division leading San Diego Seals (5-1) on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at 9:00 p.m. CT on Bally Sports Southwest. Cooper Perkins (PxP) and Nick Osello (Analyst) will be on the call.

Panther City is in the midst of a two-game winning streak and coming off of a franchise-record breaking offensive performance in a 20-7-win last Saturday over the Vancouver Warriors. Forward Will Malcom set a career high, recording 13 points (5G/8A). His 13-point performance are the most points scored by a single player in the NLL this year and his eight assists are a personal career high. Joining Malcom last week in the offensive outpouring was rookie Jonathan Donville who recorded 12 points (4G/8A). Since NLL stats became available in 2005, Malcom and Donville are the first pair of teammates to each record 12+ points in a single game in NLL history. Donville, for his efforts, was awarded the NLL Rookie of the Week, which was the third time he won the award this season and is the only rookie to win the award multiple times.

Panther City’s 20 goals tied a franchise record high and ties the single-game high for the 2022-23 season with Halifax. The club’s 35 assists and 55 points are new franchise records and are also the most assists and points recorded in a single game this season in the NLL.

Goalie Nick Damude continued his strong play as he blanked Vancouver in his 19 second-half minutes and only allowed six goals for the evening. He currently has the fourth best goals against average in the NLL (9.47) and is fifth in saves made (218).

San Diego is led by their offensive trio of Curtis Dickson (40 points – 22G/18A), Wesley Berg (39 points – 10G/29A) and Dane Dobbie (38 points – 18G/18A). Goalie Christopher Origlieri has appeared in all six of the Seals games and currently has a 9.45 GAA and .790 save percentage.
